Silver State International had the opportunity to help Truckee Meadows Community College acquire training aids from the Navistar sponsored training program at the Universal Technical Institute!
After the ITEP program at Sac State closed, Navistar developed the “Service Essential Program”. This program was designed to encourage dealerships to be more involved with their local trade schools as a pipeline for new technicians. Silver State International had already developed a strong relationship with our local trade school and was proud to continue supporting them.
Along with TMCC, we were asked to complete a number of tasks to be considered for the training aids. We are proud to announce that TMCC was chosen to receive a 2013 International Durastar 4300 with an ISB and only 1,600 miles. Additionally, TMCC received quite a few shop tools including 3 EZ-Techs, shop carts, 3/4 torque wrenches, creepers, and more.
We are proud of all the hard work to be selected for this great opportunity and we can’t wait to see how this helps the next generation!
