Up to a 15% Boost in Fuel Efficiency*
- The S13 engine can operate at low RPMs with high torque, which means less fuel consumed, while still delivering up to 515 horsepower and 1,850 lb.-ft. of torque.
- With new dual stage aftertreatment system, the heavy (40-50 pounds), expensive, and finicky EGR cooler is no longer needed to reduce emissions.
- Its absence helps the S13 be the lightest 13-liter diesel engine providing maximum performance and efficiency.

14-Speed Overdrive Transmission With Shift-On-The-Fly Capabilities
- The T14 Transmission’s overdrive 14th gear and direct drive 13th gear is optimized to deliver peak fuel economy during typical load
- Electronically controlled clutch actuator works in sync with engine for faster, smoother shifting experience
- Drivers do not need to stop and let the air recharge
- Uses an integrated oil to water coolant system that optimizes temperature regulation in both hot and cold environments

- Designed so that engine operates with zero cooled EGR during regular operation, resulting in generation of more power
- 100% of exhaust flow goes through the turbo allowing the use of a simple, more reliable fixed vane turbocharger
- Dual Stage Aftertreatment Design injects a first dose of DEF just downstream of turbo in evaporator tube and second dose inside the aftertreatment container
- Less soot or particulate matter generated allows for extended service intervals, as well as the elimination of need for active regeneration cycle and the diesel oxidation catalyst.
