Peterbilt Truck Parts & Equipment and Silver State International announced Taylor Bruce has been promoted to director of human resources of the companies.
After graduating college in 2011, Bruce returned to her Reno roots where she started her career as an office manager for a dental tech company. In 2017, she joined a local HR consulting firm and had the opportunity to work with companies throughout the Northern Nevada region. Bruce joined the Peterbilt Truck Parts & Equipment and Silver State International team in 2019 as a human resources administrator.
Bruce is an active member of the Northern Nevada Human Resources Association, where she served as co-chair of Best Places to Work from 2018-23. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Oklahoma, and has dual certificates from the University of Nevada, Reno, extended studies in leadership and HR management.
In addition, she is both Professional in Human Resources and Society for Human Resource Management certified. These certifications demonstrate Bruce’s technical and operational knowledge of HR management, including U.S. laws and regulations.
In her new role, she is responsible for developing corporate HR plans, handling employment relations, overseeing HR personnel, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
In addition, Bruce is responsible for developing and enforcing the company’s HR policies, setting attainable human resources goals, and creating a strategy to efficiently manage HR finances.

Peterbilt Truck Parts & Equipment and Silver State International announced Mark Rizzo has been promoted to director of parts.
Rizzo first joined Peterbilt in 1999, where he began his career in shipping and receiving.
In his most recent position, he served as the parts manager where he was responsible for day-to-day operations of the parts department, including planning and controlling all activities to ensure that growth and profit objectives are met within the department.
In his new role, Rizzo will be responsible for overseeing the International and Peterbilt parts departments to make sure all parts practices are staying aligned with each other.
He will review the profit and loss report daily for both stores, confirming they have adequate staff to cover all parts department related items, as well as maintaining employee retention for both stores.
With 24 years in the heavy-duty trucking industry, Rizzo helps other management staff create and maintain a comfortable work environment.
Rizzo has been instrumental in implementing new processes, which have created efficiencies in both the shipping and receiving departments.
